Another precut project completed!! I made this Berenstain Bears zippered pouch for my sweetheart nephew this morning! Fabric is ‘Welcome to Bear Country’ by Moda.
Happy Sunday morning sewing! I made myself a zippered pouch with Phillip Jacobs’ ‘English Rose’ in red. I know this line for Westminster is older, I think 2009, but I’m obsessed with it.
This is the back view of my zippered pouch that I made for the Portland/Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild swap. I love the ‘flying geese’ block.
Finished! I made this zippered pouch for the Vancouver/Portland Modern Quilt Guild swap using the block I made for the Michael Miller Cotton Couture challenge (I had every intention of submitting it, but forgot…). I slightly modified this tutorial that I found when I searched for patterns.
Zippered pouch I made for my mom! I originally purchased the fabric back in 2009 at The Pine Needle in Lake Oswego, OR to make a quilt. I love ginkgo biloba leaves but I wasn’t enthused about the dragonflies on the fabric, so the quilt got scratched and the fabric has turned up in everything from potholders to coasters and now a pouch!
This is a photo of my dad holding a travel pouch that I made for his upcoming trips to Florida and Hawai’i! The fabric has train engines on it (this family loves Union Pacific) - my mom scored it a while back and hadn’t made him anything yet so I got to use it for his pouch. He chose the red zipper (purchased from the Mill End in Milwaukie, OR). In the background is my momma’s Bernina 1090-S. She has had it approximately 15 years and it’s still a wonderful machine. I made my dad’s travel pouch on my new Bernina Aurora 440 QE. The pouch uses the overlock foot (#2), the zipper foot (#4) and the standard #1 foot.
